who knows..... We caught our two boys today nibbling on their own sh***. We haven't see them doing that before and maybe this was just a one off, but any idea why they do that? Our feeding regime: In the morning one biggggggg net of hay. Then they go into the field for grazing. There is not much to graze though. Lunch time is another hay net Diner per horse: 2 of those round scoops of speedy beet soaked in a lot of water, with two scoops of low proteine pellets, alfa A, garlic and some vegetable oil. Late night snack another hay net. Over night they are in the paddock.

*thanks mennyl!*
Eating poo is called coprophagy. Foals do it and its normal behaviour, not so much in adult horses. It can be caused by a diet deficient in minerals, fibre and a way of sorting gut bacteria.

Being only almost 3 means they're still foals No serious. We'll go for the minerals. It's definately not a fibre thing. They get more then enough of that. No idea if they'll use a block. We tried once those fancy things with minerald blocks in them and the only thing they boys did was......................nothing Should I maybe show them what to do with it? ;D ;D Thanks for the advise.
