On Sunday 24th Feb we had a visit from Laura Domenica to introduce her methods of horsemanship to Northern Ireland. As NI is not generally known for interest in anything "alternative", we were delighted to have more than 20 people whose feedback at the end of a very cold, but (thanks be to the weather God) dry day was nothing but positive. Laura went to the trouble of transporting the lovely Jewel (Fresian) to show us what she was aiming for. After explaining where she was coming from, and some of the principles of Connected Horsemanship, she then worked on a part trained pony and finally a very hesitant and anxious young horse, demonstrating the need for extreme patience and the essential element, time! Laura has agreed to return soon and I will post details as soon as they have been confirmed. Thanks Laura! Lesley
