Brief report on this workshop - there were 13 of us there, plus James and Shelly. The first part was an intro to James and his work, and the benefits of learning AC, then he taught us a very easy way of going into a focus "zone" - not as involved as meditation but how to hold the attention on the animal concerned.
Then we went over ways of working - using photos of each other's animals, we invited them in to a "special place" that we had visually set up and observed how the animal reacted - confident, suspicious etc, then when the animal was ready, we asked questions like - how are you physically - what's you personality like - is there anything you would like to communicate with your owner - and had to learn to TRUST the answers which was the difficult bit!
We could ask the animal directly, or take on the animal's personality and use flow writing.
It was facinating, no-one scored less than 70% accuracy and there were a couple of 95%s, a very enlightening and special day.
