James is a long-term student of Tai Chi and has brought this approach into working with riders. He works initially on the ground, where you develop awareness of balance and imbalance in your body. This is then transferred to ridden work where you learn to feel your balance in the saddle and to apply the ground exercises. The results are truly amazing, allowing your horse to relax, stretch and lift his back to carry you properly.

PARTICIPATION:

Ground Student: Full participation in morning Tai Chi class, learning exercises and breathing techniques. Enjoy watching and learning from the afternoon riding lessons. Cost: €120 /2days.

Riding Student: Full participation in morning Tai Chi class followed by 1 hour ridden class with James. This will be ½ hour one-to-one with James followed by ½ hour practise with a concluding review with James. Cost: €240 /2days

Venue: Ballinclea House, Donard, Co.Wicklow

Cost: €240 for 2 day with own horse / €120 for 2 day ground work

Time: 9am to 6pm

Stabling: FREE OF CHARGE! Please bring your own hay, feed etc.

Lunches etc: Please bring your own Lunch, we will have unlimited teas, coffees etc, available all day.

Deposit: A deposit of €100 for a ridden place or €50 for a ground place will secure your booking. Balance payable by 24th of July 2008. You are welcome to send a post-dated cheque with your deposit. Please note: Deposits and balances will only be refunded IF I can fill your place. If the clinic is cancelled for any reason all payments will be refunded.

CAN’T MAKE THE FULL CLINIC?
You are welcome to join us for 1 day with horse @€150. However, it will be best for you to start at Day 1 and work from there as the work is progressive. Call me to discuss what’s best for you.
