Ways to go a little slower.........
1. Breathe slower and more deeply 2. Slow down your seat bones 3. Make your legs swing more slowly 4. Have less life in your body 5. Look at horse or look down 6. Imagine going slower 7. Bend horse or do a circle 8. Take your horse up a small hill 9. Grip your legs around your horses body = restricts barrell movement = restricts horses leg movement. 10. Walk away from yard 11. Move too much in the saddle 12. Think slower

1. Breathe faster and more shallow 2. Speed up your seat bones 3. Make your legs swing faster 4. Get more life through your body 5. Look up where you are going 6. Imagine going faster 7. Straighten up horse, travel in a straight line 8. Take your horse down a small hill 9. Walk towards yard or gate 10. Don't clamp / squeeze yrou lages too much, allow horses barrell to move 11. Think faster
To play with the above, go out into a field with a bit of a hill in it. Practise going all around the field, up and down and sideways etc all over the hill as well, maintaining the SAME speed throughout. It's an old exercise - the sugar foot jog.
