Basically I've only heard good things about this bit..... it comes in snaffle or french link versions. They sit very still in the mouth and make the directional rein aid very clear. Have a look at the explaination here: www.bewithyourhorse.com/page8.htmlA friend of mine has 30 polo ponies and only 2 of them prefer a different bit. I had a happy mouth with Oz to start off with, but he ate it so then put in my small Rockin s french link and he's grand. It was the one I kept in the back of my car to try if I came across any head shakers, etc as I've heard it suits horses when other bits don't. Its also the only bit of equipment Mark Rashid recommends. Tom Widdicombe sells them over in the UK.

Thats great! I have been looking for one of these for Kainer but I could only find them in the USA and they are VERY expensive! Do you know how much they are from Tom?

hmmm check out www.bewithyourhorse.comI have a French Link Rockin S I use on Ozzie, I'll bring it to the next funday so you can see it. Works well. You could ask Tom to bring one over when he's about in August to have a look at.

I think that cooper 69 is on the right track,he was showing me his idea of a bit on saturday ,it is made of a material that All horses love to have in there mouthes and conveys the messages that the rider wishes to communicate to the horse,all in all what makes a bit good or bad is the HANDS that it is in.
