I haven't been on here in ages, been so busy with a lot of things. but i thought i'd pop on and give a wee update about Mia.
We moved her home at last in the start of March. She settled in really well and is much more relaxed and happy since we did this. I'm not going to say anything, but we weren't really happy with our livery yard and clearly neither was Mia. She met a lot of new people, animals and big not-so-scary objects since her move here and she's taken it all in her stride. We've got her up to her ideal weight and she is looking the best she has since we bought her 6 months ago. stunning, if i may say so! I've done a lot of work with her and she responds to my body language, my voice commands and the tips of my fingers. she's now wearing her bridle and saddle with pride and looks great in them both she was a bit wary of the bridle for a little while so i tried it without the noseband and bingo, straight away she was much happier. too many straps and pieces for her just yet i think.
today i was getting her used to my weight in the stirrups and lying across her back in the saddle. she was very happy with both of these and didn't even bother to look around to see what i was doing but continued to play with the leadrope! i hoping to back her in the next couple of weeks once she fully happy with me lying across her and walking around like that.
so i couldn't be happier with her progress. I'm so happy that i really took my time with every step we went through, she's so confident and happy for it and trusts me to no end. its a great feeling
so here's a couple of photos i took of my girly today, thought you'd like to see the young lady. She turns 4 in 2 weeks and 2 days
looking cutie in all her tack
her beautiful eyes. well eye!
isn't that butt just the cutest!
and we always end each session with a game of ball, she has at least 4 of them and she loves them all!
