A little thought on a thursday morning...............
Years ago, I had a wonderful piano teacher in Tipperary called Sr. Philomena. She used to say, that to be a brilliant piano player, you had to have three things: The head, the hands, and the heart.
The head you needed to learn the pieces, the hands you needed to be able to play them technically, and the heart you needed to make the music beautiful.
Horses are the same.
Your head you need to learn what technical things to do to become a good rider and trainer, the hands you need to be able to physically ride, handle and train, and from your heart comes softness and feel, fairness, kindness, and the williingness which results in something beautiful.
