Hi everyone, I'm Cathy Wilde and I work with the equines at the ISPCA National Animal Centre in Keenagh, Co. Longford. We currently have 4 horses/ponies available to foster. They are all unbroken, and we are anxious that they go to knowledgeable homes where they will be trained in a careful and humane manner, as they have all been rescued from cruel or difficult situations. We do not have the time or facilities to start young horses here at present. If anyone on this board would be interested in applying to foster, please contact me at cwilde@eircom.net, and I will send on details. Our foster system is similar to the IHWT and the Donkey Sanctuary - the equine remains the property of the Society, it cannot be used for breeding, hunting live quarry, or hire and reward. We reserve the right to inspect it at any time and to take it back if we are not happy with the way it is being cared for. There is a home visit required, and we will give any back up and assistance to our foster homes that is necessary. All equines are fully vaccinated, males are gelded, and in good health when available for fostering, unless we specify a chronic condition to the foster person.
These 4 lovely equines are looking to start a new life, I look forward to hearing from any of you who may be interested in them, sincerely, Cathy
