Anyone who has been to the Positive Horsemanship courses near Naas in Co Kildare will have met "Geordie". She has been regularly used by novices to introduce them to the handling techniques that Vanessa teaches and loves the attention.
Mynyddtarren Geordana is 4 years old. She is by Mynyddtarren The Maverick who was best of breed at Olympia a couple of years ago, so she is well bred.
Geordie is very like her dad. She is black with a white face, classic welsh face and conformation, although she's getting a little chubby with the new grass. She has that super high stepping trot of the Welsh and can really cover the ground.
She's a very affectionate pony, who loves a cuddle. She has a lovely temperament and usually quite obliging (for a Welsh!). She's confident too and doesn't lose her cool in strange situations.
A big bonus with this pony is that she is familiar with natural horsemanship techniques. She has worked in a round pen, been long-lined and even sat on a few times. She's wasted here as we don't have a jockey for her and she really needs/wants to do a job.
I know that she would be an absolutely super pony for a confident young rider. She needs an experienced home, of course, because there is still work to do with her but she's keen and ready to work with.
€1,500 for a special pony

We still have this pony for sale. I'm so reluctant to let her go that I think I set her price too high.
We'll let her go to the right home for 1,200 euros.
She really is a lovely character and very much one of the family but we're moving to France shortly and really need to find her a home.

Hi Lynda, Just to say that I was one of the people who had the pleasure of working with Geordie on one of Vanessa Bee's courses. She's everything you describe, and I can't understand why she is still looking for that special home - her temperament is superb, she has really good concentration, and tries hard to please. Some lucky parent/child is going to get the pony of the centuary. Please give her a hug from me! Cathy
