Beautifull pony is looking for a companion home. I know in these hard times horses are ten a penny but this wee mare deserves to live out the rest of her life in a happy home with good people, I have hope that there are still a few of us left
Her story is this: She was sold to me under false pretences some years ago, I admit i was naive as she arrived to my yard fully tacked up, ridden round the arena by her previous owner then by me, I was looking for a pony for a girl who I believed had alot more experience than she did and this pony was simply supposed to be passing through within the week.
She was buzzy, light mouthed and a bit green but potential, well when her prospective owner got on her I understood it was probably only her 4th or 5th time on horse = recipe for disaster!
Anyway when I proceeded to untack her I discovered a severe headshyness. So being a softie I didnt want to send her back to where she came from (She wasn't in best of condition) I decided I would try and help her, now named Freckles, overcome this problem.
Unfortunately around the same time my life turned upsidedown and I had to leave which meant re homing all my horses and my dog and cat too.
I was heartbroken but luckily for freckles I found her a perfect home with Pat Allworthy as a companion to her cob down in West Cork.
Unfortunately Pat can no longer keep her and has to put her own mare in livery so we are deserately trying to find the right person for Freckles.
So she is about 16 years od prob near 14'2hh, lightboned conemara with an arab look about her, the right person could potentially fix her her problem or she makes a great companion. Easy to handle an great with kids and just a lovely wee thing altogether.
I have no land and am expectng my second baby in the summer otherwise I would have her back in a flash!
Please someone out there consider Freckles as a potential addition to your life
