A friend of mine has found a piebald pony on her dairy farm - the gate is padlocked so somebody has gone to quite some effort to dump the poor creature! I think it's a filly foal but can't be sure just yet (pretty wild!). I've spent 3 days getting closer & trying to gain some trust but she isn't ready to be touched yet - although is happy to stand just a couple of foot away from me for a handful of gro-care feed in a bucket! I reckon she's probably a yearling & she's a heavy gypsy type with 2 blue eyes. Only small & will probably stay at under 12 hands when fully grown. I'd like to re-home her somewhere nearby as she's very young to undertake a big journey. She's in West Waterford at present. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYKxFwHtCi0

That video is so sweet - is it a horse? Is it a cow? She'll make someone a precious pony!

He's such a sweet thing. Yesterday he even let me touch him, so I gave him a good scratch & he groomed me (a little too hard!) in return. Just 4 visits of 40 mins each to gain his trust. I don't think it's a big deal! The good news is that a friend of mine is probably going to take him for a couple of years & then we'll take him back & start him riding (my daughter will do it). The bad news is that it's a legal nightmare to get it sorted officially!

and as for catching the little critter! I may be forced to give up & walk away from this one - I just don't have the time or knowledge to put into it. So if anyone wants to come & meet him........!
