First and foremost I would like to thank finhand who ever you are ? for your words of confidence ( they are so appreciated) putting one self out there is not always as easy as one might think, for all i wish to do is share with other like minded people the joy and pleasure of being with in my opinion ( apart from Elvis ) being and interacting with horses and borrowing from them the magistracy and dignity which we as humans wish to posses or at least share Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm now i am rambling that happens at my age , but i just want to thank Tralee Equestrian Center for hosting the workshop ,to all those who supported , and to Lisa and Tadhg for organizing the day and last but not least this site for affording us the medium(Elane) and i hope that all participants and spectators benefited and enjoyed the day as much as i did , and i am looking forward to the next workshop =

I saw Sean in action 5 or 6 years ago before I'd even sat on a horse let alone owned one. He's quite the inspiration isn't he (although I'm sure he doesn't need to hear it yet again!!). As for the the figures about horse ownership - ie. 90% give up within the first year & of the remainder, 90% give up within their first 5 years. Well it looks like I'm stuck with this lifestyle forever cos I sure as heck can't imagine ever being without it again Welcome to the forum Finhand

Welcome Finhand ;D Totally agree with you zy, Sean is really talented and so good at communicating with both horses and humans. He has a real gift and is a pleasure to watch in action. Every time l see him l learn something new. Another great clinic last Sunday in tralee, especially working with the mare with deep-rooted issues. The compassion that Sean showed the mare was amazing and had her in a halter and lead rope within minutes. Then he did a bit of desensitizing. She was so scared but, l think, willing to respond to gentleness. Unfortunately i had to leave, so if Sean or anyone could take up the story from here i think its worth telling.
