hi, my name is 'Ainki' and i'm new at this natural horsemanship, taking baby steps after Sean (my guru!) got me started mid-Dec2010 and i'm VERY intersted in linking with anyone near me, whether fellow-beginner or more advanced for sharing highs and lows, playing with our horses, two-way support, and eventually for riding out together on beaches and forests (me and my horse not ready yet, as you'll see if you read on). i'm on the Galway/Mayo border (Headford). nearest towns are Galway 45mins, Westport 45mins, Claremorris 45mins, Castlebar 45mins, Tuam 30mins. i'm from South Africa originally (hence SAffer chick) and have been a 'happy hacker' all my life, experience mostly with thoroughbreds that came off the track and re-schooled. hunted for many seasons in Cape Town (drag hunt & fabulous social scene) and have recently got back into horses. now have my first own horse in nearly 15 years, WHAT a journey! sweet-natured 7yr-old coloured dutch warmblood (bred as working horse/big boned) who has done NOTHING, lived like a wild horse with a band of mares for the past 2 years, i got him at the end of last summer, he was gelded Sept2010. link with me here or find me on facebook, love to hear from you!! www.facebook.com/the.original.funky.chicken
