I know this might look mad, but I have my reasons! Morgan, my perfect mare (15.3), needs a new home She is 19 now & although doesn't look a day over 4 can't do what I want any more in terms of riding. I'm finally looking to progress & possibly go riding club or competing, but she is looking to slow down. She has an old injury in her off-fore which has resulted in an arthritic joint. She is generally sound when ridden in a field & will happily jump too - but she can't be out on the road at all. I haven't gone the route of injections or anything like that to disguise the problem. Morgan is brilliant if you're looking for a sensible influence for a youngster - doesn't spook & has plenty of manners. She's suitable to keep riding on soft ground or as a companion or maybe even as a broodmare, although she's never had a foal yet. I'd love to hang onto her forever, but I'm very limited in what I can keep & would rather have something I could go & enjoy. Morgan has always lived out with me (with a rug) as she is a really good do-er & never seems to lose any condition! There are pics of her in my introductions post. Let me know if you think you can help re-home her. Here she is having a good old gallop at the beach ;D www.youtube.com/watch?v=RcnW4vdhIE0

Just a note for anyone looking for a great home for their neds - hang in there! It took me the best part of a year, but through a UK forum I go on all about natural horsemanship (varying levels - like BF/treeless/Parelli etc.) I found a great new home for my mare. These sisters lost their old companion pony last year aged 35 so they had plenty of experience with oldies & with arthritis & barefoot. Morgan has been in Kent for a few months now & here's the latest update I was sent yesterday. It's a fake movie trailer - fab idea!
