'FUN DAY' Well come on lads!It was a wet, windy, cold, miserable grey day!!What sort of idiots would call this FUN??Seemingly everyone who was there! It was great to meet people who showed such dedication. It was especially good to meet Sean and watch him at work.I couldn't believe Sean and I live only 20 minutes apart and neither one knew the other existed.I can only speculate how much further down the road of horsemanship I'd be had I known Sean was there all these years!I invited him out to my place and without hesitation he agreed to come yesterday. He brought 2 of his own horses and together with my own quarterhorse gelding (Ed) we started work in my small arena. The basic plan for the day was that Ed and I would show what we could do.Sean would then repeat the process in his own style and then let me try again. The result on almost every occassion was instant improvement! We finished the day with Sean showing some of his more spectacular moves both on the ground and in the saddle. I was amazed when he laid one horse on the ground for the first time ever. You never have a video camera when you need one!!It was 9 pm when Sean finally headed off home - a long but brilliant day!
Elaine..I hope there will be many more reasons to be grateful to you, the website and its members but if all I ever get from this forum was yesterday afternoon with Sean I still couldn't thank you enough. Please keep up the good work. Hope to see you again soon.
