Hi, I'm new to this site and firstly would like to say hello! Now, I need to pick your brains .......... my horse Tess has a thickened annular ligament on her off hind. She is not lame at the moment and is being lightly hacked. The vet says if she goes lame again the only option would be an operation, which is not guaranteed successful . However, I have been told of someone using Serrapeptase to reduce scar tissue. Has anyone else heard of Serrapeptase and is a thickened ligament actually scar tissue? Thanks, any info would be much appreciated

I'll take a guess here, I'm not sure it would be the right thing, because it digests non-living tissue. I don't think you've got dead tissue in a thickend tendon... What about speaking to a holistic vet? Your insurance might even cover if your vet gives a referal.
