“UNITING THE SPIRITS”
Equine Facilitated Studies - Beyond Massage
Saturday, July 4th - Saturday, July 11th, 2009
‘The Ireland Connection’
Dear Ireland Attendant;
This is an 8 day course, beginning Saturday, July 4th - Saturday, July 11th , 2009 earning a successful participant 64 clock hours of accreditation through this facility. It is an intensive course so the days may easily last longer than 8 hours. You will be attending 2 days of profession specific In-Hand Horsemanship (handling horses from the ground) Saturday July 4th and Sunday July 5th. Monday, July 6th begins the equine massage portion where you will be learning anatomy & physiology - 27 primary muscles and functions as well as a variety of massage techniques applied to the animal’s body. Integration of In-Hand Horsemanship is a continued daily application. In addition, you will be applying traditional Chinese philosophy relating to the animal’s energy field, chakras and meridians. Focus exercises are shared to help you extend your concentration and focus abilities, heighten your intuitional development and communication.
This tends to be a life changing experience for those who attend and offers the opportunity to connect with these powerful sentient beings on a far higher and deeper level. (Prior horsemanship and experience with handling a variety of horses from the ground is a prerequisite for acceptance into this program - all 8 days must be attended for successful certification).
Each day begins with gathering for review and question/answer facilitation, usually followed by a focus exercise. Philosophy and classroom presentation usually precedes field application on live horses each afternoon. You will have plenty of ‘hands-on’ experience working on horses most graciously offered by Michael Hourigan of Lisaleen Stables, Pallaskenry, Co. Limerick . Saturday, July 11th is exam day, offering you the opportunity to successfully demonstrate to me your ability to apply the week’s studies both in written and practical application on live horses.
