Centered Riding Clinics and Instructor Course
Open Centered Riding Clinics
We are pleased to announce another opportunity to participate in clinics given by Mitzi Summers, from Eastern New York. Mitzi is one of only 15 Level IV Centered Riding Instructors in the world. With Sally Swift as it's founder, Centered Riding has been accepted throughout the world. Centered Riding incorporates a knowledge of the biomechanics of horse and rider. and through ground exercises and ridden lessons, riders are able not only to become more aware of their own bodies and become better riders, but, as a result, they are able to communicate more clearly with their horses.
Judy, The Eclipse Centre's own CHA Level 4 qualified and experienced trainer, with experience in
3-day eventing will assist Mitzi throughout the sessions.
The clinics are suitable for riders of various levels and disciplines, introducing riders to the Centered Riding Basics and/or providing ongoing education for those with experience in Centered Riding.
Each day will start with ground exercises without horses. Paid auditors will gather much information from this clinic, as they are encouraged to actively participate. Late morning and afternoon sessions will be comprised of riding your horse, and learning to apply new awareness to the training of your horse.
Mitzi believes very much in each rider/horse combination being treated as individuals, with guidance given to their specific interests.
Clinics are supported by video documentation and analysis at the end of each day.
Clinics take place on 29th - 31st May 2009 and can be booked on a daily basis.
