Hello all,
I'm mad about horses but have almost no riding experience. I've always wanted to have and ride horses, but being a young guy with no land or resources, I have very little chance of owning a horse anytime soon.
However I'm still really eager to get involved and learn about natural horsemanship. I've read several books on the subject - Pat Parelli, Joe Camp and Monty Roberts. So I feel like I have an overview of the principles involved, but without any horses around I'm unsure what would be an intelligent next step to take.
Does anyone have any advice or recommendations as to where you would start if you were in my position. I know that its a difficult question, like asking how I might learn to drive without having a car, but any suggestions would be appreciated, whether its to go to a local equestrian club or to take a lesson somewhere. I have no interest in showjumping and dressage, which is the main reason why I have thus far avoided equestrian centres, and obviously I'm looking for something that fits with natural horsemanship too.
Thanks!
Patrick.

Thanks kindly Amanda,
That looks like a good start sure enough. Unfortunately I will not be around on that day but I will keep an eye out for this in future.
Patrick.
