“In TTouch with your horse” Clinic with Vanda Oosterhuis May15th -17th 2009

Vanda Oosterhuis is one of the few level III Centered Riding instructors in the Netherlands.
She has been teaching CR since 1995 and loves doing it because, as she says “It is such a wonderful way to let people understand what they are doing with their body and how that influences the horse. And when you understand what you do, you can do it better and ride better.”
Vanda also teaches TTEAM and TTouch, the method of Linda Tellington-Jones to train horses in a gentle way. She did her first course with Linda Tellington Jones 30 years ago and is now a level 3 practitioner.
In 2006 she began the training for the Connected Riding instructor, which is a method similar to Centered Riding, but that also includes groundwork with horses. It helps horses to become more supple and is a wonderful warming-up before riding.
Vanda owns several Icelandic horses and a Fjord, with whom she rides classical dressage.
In this 2 ½ -day clinic we will do groundwork with the horses in the morning with exercises from TTEAM – TTouch and Connected Riding.
You will learn how to make your horse more supple in hand and how to let him listen to gentle signals.
In the afternoon we shall concentrate on a good seat in the saddle and a good feel for the movement of the horse. We will do exercises with each other which will help you understand how your movements influence the horse.
Then you will ride in little groups and Vanda will help you to ride better with exercises from both Centered and Connected Riding.
This clinic will give you lots of information on how to make your horse move better and how to improve your riding. And you will see, riding becomes even more fun then!
